DOLLARS & CENTS (Sense) We have often heard about people being penny wise, and pound foolish. Quite often though, I see pennies tossed here and there (floors, ground, etc.). Now and then, I overhear people say (as they toss pennies aside), I don’t need the weight in my pocket, or they’re just to bothersome, etc. I find it interesting though, that some of the same people are often crying broke. Walking with a friend one day, and we both reached down to pick up a penny. The friend reached it first, and we both laughed. You pick up pennies too, they said. Pennies make dollars, I said.
